Weedy Seadragons – Phyllopteryx taeniolatus also known as Common Seadragons are endemic to Australia’s cooler southern oceans. These graceful marine creatures are listed as threatened due to significant loss of kelp forest habitat, climate change as well as ocean pollutants. Another major threat is the harvesting of these vulnerable creatures for traditional medicine.
