About the Designer.
Lucky Little Penguins, founded by Mandy Shute, is a small regional business creating coastal inspired eco-friendly gifts and greeting cards
Mandy lives in Warrnambool, a region known as the Shipwreck Coast, where the sea is always icy and the weather can be unforgiving at times. Many of her designs are inspired by the diversity of marine life found along Victoria’s southwest coast.
After gaining her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Deakin University, Mandy founded her company Sea Content in 2018. She also became co-leader of Beach Patrol 3280-3284 for several years, which was a finalist in the 2023 Keep Victoria Beautiful Litter Award for promoting awareness on the devastating effects of shipping litter in our region.
Probably her most rewarding project was her involvement with the Better Buds Campaign, instrumental in including plastic-stemmed cotton buds in Victoria’s and other states single-use plastic policy legislation.
Lucky Little penguins is committed to using recycled, compostable or plastic free products and packaging. Packaging is made from recycled paper and secured with plastic-free tape and ties sourced from eco-friendly Australian companies like Eco-Green and Heaps Good.
Lucky Little Penguins produces keepsakes that care because a gift given out of kindness should also be kind to the planet.

Our Theme
We design Australian wildlife themed charms and greeting cards.

Our Creations
Australian Designed and/or Australian Made. Our magic starts with an idea and then is drawn using Adobe Illustrator graphic software.

Our Manufacturers
Our card designs are printed by an Australian printer that prints using non-toxic inks and only uses cardstock made from 100% post consumer paper. We choose manufacturers based on sustainability, quality and price.

Our Packaging
Plastic free, recyclable or compostable. We also request manufacturers to ship our products using plastic-free packaging. Cards are secured with FSC Vellum belly bands and a recycled paper sticker. Keepsakes are mounted on 100% post-consumer cardstock.

Contributed to the Bottles Overboard campaign to reduce shipping litter in our oceans.
