Description

Southern Right Whales were hunted almost to extinction by whalers until a ban put a stop to killing these magnificent giants of the sea. Each Southern Right Whale calf is precious because unlike the humpback whale, Southern right whales have been slow to recover from an estimated population of just 300 prior to the ban on whaling.
